  • Action GTX on Lessons Learned WFC training - Andrew Crowl

  • Action GTX on Waitrose Lessons Learned - pilot

Notes

Agenda- discuss training on Lincolnshire last week

  • Training well attended by:
    • Training team, professional services, team that is creating certification team, EU, HC, channel, MFG and T&L Ses
  • Everyone got a sand box, able to create groups and demo to customers. Admin console access to sand box.
  • Mainly PTT-Pro, apk can be provided to customers but need to be careful
    • apk for voice-  not able to get licenses/royalties or control its access
    • PTT-pro- we have a license service for it, able to control it.

Larry Dykes did a PTT-pro demo in Latam, it worked well. Partners were able to get a 30-day free trial

Six demo kits available, one in EU, five  in NA (Kevin Lollock). They are plug-play, ready to go. 3-4 MC40s, Apple device, Moto radio, Cisco phone/nw running. It requires everyone to give a presentation (elevator pitch) on how the product works (talk to Tim about it). Spread the word on these demos being available Action

Learned:

  • Workforce connect- Voice client does not work on a cellular nw, due to government regulations.
  • PTT-pro works on both WiFi and Cellular network.
  • Accessories- how they interact with PTT-pro, not all BT headsets are a good fit

Andrew Crowl could help creating a GTX on lessons learned during the training Action

Did not use much of the "asteric" training previously taken/purchased. Training has a lab session deep into cisco's client console, good for our understanding on how it works. We now have the knowledge to create an environment on our laptops.

Recordings of the training may be available, especially for the PTT-Pro presentation. The lab sessions may not be very useful, the computer got overloaded. Action Track down the tapes.

"Sip" training- basic info is in the course identified last week, hosted by company that created Asteric (product specific). $300, includes labs. We may get all the info we need on the public domain (free) and get all we need.

Kevin L was on Puerto Rico, Steve Zimmerman and Jason were at the training all the time.

There were about 25-30 people including some partner members.

The lab side of the training needs a bit of work: setup sub-networks.

Alison Robinson- what pocking around is required on the PBX side?   System admin console videos perhaps.

Trial going in England (Tim referenced it) over a grocery store-  can we find out the details and have a GTX about it ? It may be Waitrose (Alison). Looking to compare with other devices, single device all apps running, voice with messaging, preparing a trial with PTT-pro and voice (integration with PBX and PTT-pro), starting using cloud solution but encountered issues with the nw; moving from a cloud trial to on premise trial. Originally 25 devices (MC40, TC70, iPad), iPad dropped, now 17 devices. Trial to start soon, finalizing use cases and success criteria. Want to implement a task management system.

Lessons learned: messaging with PTT-pro, works well on Android but not for iOS. Headsets- able to find BT HS suitable for retail environment, that integrates with PTT-pro.

Larry will schedule a GTX for this trial. Action
