Currently we are trying to develop an android application which can print a label using the ZPL file being directly sent to the ZQ521 printer
however, we want an test run whether this ZPL file when directly send to the printer works flawless or not hence we are trying to create the same
scenario using the Zebra mobile printer emulator
however when I checked the emualator and downloaded one the file we received was in .NDR extension and also some other file but there was no option for it to download specifically installable file for Mac OS or Windows OS, which was present when I was searching for Android SDK ( Link-os SDK)
So please help me over it, and provide some insight as to how I can install a Zebra mobile printer emulator on a MAC and Windows device both as we uses both for our development.
here is the list of emulator on the below link:-
https://www.zebra.com/ap/en/support-downloads/printer-software/printere…
I am not sure which one should we use for our scenario and also how can we get the installable file for both the operating System that I mentioned above.

There seems a confusion about the emulation term used here. The emulations referred to by the link above are not about the emulation of the printer. Instead they are the emulation of the other label formatting languages. The Zebra printers normally support the label formatting languages of ZPL, CPCL, EPL, etc. If a label is designed with another formatting language that is not supported natively on the Zebra printers, then we can take the advantage of the emulation of the label formatting language. For example, if a label is designed with the Datamax formatting language, then we need to install the emulation of the Datamax on to a Zebra printer, so that the label can be printed on the Zebra printer. The *.NRD files are not for the Windows or Mac. They are the files of the emulations for the printers and should be install on the printers.
Hey thanks a lot for making me understand this.
However I would request you please could you provide me some help like is there any way we can get a mobile printer emulator, as currently we don't have the physical device with us and we currently want to know if we are able to execute our label, for which we need to test the same.
So we were looking if Zebra provides an emulator for the same or not as it would make our things very easier and then we can go ahead with the proper implementation including the Zebra android SDK and get the physical device too.
Unfortunately, there is no printer emulator. For development, a real printer would be required. If just want to verify the ZPL for label formatting, then we can use the online tool to verify the ZPL scripts: http://labelary.com/viewer.html.
