Unfortunately the Intent API calls have no error capability at all. Therefore they succeed even when there is no DataWedge available (e.g. on a non-zebra device). My app should switch for example to scanning via camera then.
How could I detect that DataWedge is available? Ideally I would like to know the version as well.

Would it help to search the installed applications for DataWedge (what would be the correct package name)?
