Hi, Customer Repsol-YPF is using MC9094's in naturarl gas delivery trucks. They suspect that users take the SIM and use it in cell phones to gain access to free phone calls and internet browsing. They are working with carrier to restrict access but wants also some help from us. I wish to have more opinions on what method could be effective to control or detect unauthorized access to SIM chip. One solution used by a customer is to enable the SIM PIN, then have some software submit the PIN automatically - so the user is not prompted - this is easy to do (SymScript has a command for this) using the SIM API. - The user is not aware of the SIM PIN. But should they remove and put in another device they will be prompted for the SIM PIN - at which point they must be very lucky or they lock the SIM requiring the PUK code.
