Looking for information on the WLAN radio signal strength, how far away from an AP should the MC75 be able to connect. I know that depends on signal strength, environment, interference, etc. We had a MC75 connecting to a 7181 AP from about 300 plus yards away. This was in an open field. Is 300 yards a good measurement or should we have been able to reach further?

300 Yards seems like a normal reading. If you wanted to do additional testing you could install eMscript and walk the area. eMscript will record the signal strength every minute in the resource.csv. Also keep in mind that if you are surveying an empty field which would be filled with people when an event was in session, you would probably see a significant reduction in coverage.
