Team, can somebody confirm if the std battery of the MC3090R (BTRY-MC30KAB0E) works on the MC3100R? If yes, does the customer need another battery door or the 3100 one will do? Thanks in advance.

Thank you all for your comments. The reason I am asking is that the partner had about 50 of these in stock and wanted to know if they can be used with the new MC3100Rs.

have a look at PMB 1803  that has a good overview http://www.eng.symbol.com/agile/images/002/289/512/agile228951255.pdf

Nikos The old battery should work in the MC3100 (non-gun). See the replay of an older webinar we did on this: http://mtunes.mot.com:81/video/48/MC3100-Overview.aspx jump to around 14:00 in the video. Note EOL warning on this item.

See PMB 1803 for answers to all your questions on MC3000 & MC3100 batteries.  The new MC3100 standard capacity battery is backward compatible to the MC30X0-R.  A new unique MC30X0-R battery door is not required when installing a MC3100 1X battery into a MC30X0-R.  The MC31X0 family has new battery doors that are NOT backward compatible to the MC30X0 family.
