Clarify case: 2161955

Customer warm boots a terminal programmatically, after this the terminal is on default state, all data and programs deleted. It seems that the OS initiate a clean boot, probably on a critical situation or event which happens with the warm boot and tries to recover then. Is there way how to prevent this behavior? A system log what shows the problem and help the customer to change his application? Many thanks
