We have a competitive situation where the customer is currently using the proprietary Teklogix TekTerm ANSI 9010t Telnet Emulation. My question is, has anyone had a similar competitive situation and were you able to switch the customer over to Wavelink or a standard emulation that can run on our MC9090s? If you were able to swicth them over, what were the key arguments used? Thanks in advance for your response.

It's been a long time since I had to deal with 9010 (the second wireless base station they made) emulation but in most cases you can use VT100 or 220 in Wavelink to achieve suitable results unless it truly is still a serial connection to the host. Things to look out for include that they may be doing screen formatting on the controller which would require a 3rd party screen scraper to replace it. Key arguments otherwise are the same for controller versus non-controller based emulation (single point of failure, cost of maintenance, etc.).
