Roland, I had a business partner ask me the same thing yesterday. They wanted to know if the device can be used for closer reading as well as long range. That way they would have to buy one device type. Bill

You can change the Reader Params to "Narrow" to give closer reading range. I did this at Staples years ago as they need Lorax for location tags but also needed to scan items up close. You can use our CTLPanel applet to set it and to create the registry entry.
