HC700 - ScanWedge not able to read

I have customer which is using HC700-WM5.0 and complaining about app that using ScanWedge to read barcodes and stop reading after a while.  Logs showing read time out, but I can see the LEDs and can be sure to aim on the barcode. After error occur, exiting application and executing back resolve the issue (even w/o restarting ScanWedge) I am able to reproduce it only with application but ScanWedge is not supported any longer. Anyone with knowledge about scan wedge or what can cause this behavior?
