1.  10/28/2010 1:38 PM 2.  3 Day 3.  MC3190 CE 6.0 4.  2233774 I have a question from a customer if Shift Lock on the MC3190 is supported?  It appears pressing shift twice locks shift on...but this is NOT mentioned in the User or Integrators Guide and was NOT a feature of MC3090.  They want to make sure they can use this feature and its not going away.

Yosi, Please do.  The customer would be greatly appreciated.

I attached here the original driver, with the necessary reg and cpy files. I believe you know the drill, how to copy and install it. This will return the device keyboard to it behaviour before SPR 18734, hope that's what you asking for. If not then CPR/SPR is required.

I opened SPR 19532 on this, as they need the same sort of fix as previous SPR but for the Shift key, not Function key.

Yosi, I guess if this needs to be a new driver then yes they want a new driver.  Custom Product Request I assume?

Y Yoseff Zlotnick

I don't know if its CPR or SPR, but if the customer wants a driver with the previous behavior, I can deliver that.

Yes, Locked Shift mode is available on MC3100 since MPA2.0 platform provides this feature as  standard.

One follow up...can you disable Shift Lock?  I dont think you can, but need to confirm.

Y Yoseff Zlotnick

Do you mean that you like to get a driver with the previous behavior?

Refer to SPR18734.  This SPR was resolved and the fix was posted to Support Central last May: "MC3190 - Keyboard driver, function key fix - SPR 18734"

This fix will be included in the next Maint. Release.

But this is Shift key, not Func key.
