Hi,
Our customer uses an RFS600 to adopt 48 units of AP300 and 5 units of AP5131. MCD has no problem while roaming from one AP300 to another, but it disconnects for a while when roams from an AP5131 to an AP300. It is said that because of the difference between AP and AAP, that kind of disconnection is unavoidable. Is that true? Thank you! Junhua

Which security are they using? With or without radius?

Hi Jam,

They use no security setting but static IP as the only method to prevent themselves.

Thank you!

Xie-Xie ! If they had Radius, every time a terminal roams it has to be reauthenticated. If it gets associated by an AP300, the very Wireless Switch acts as the authenticator (i.e, "talks" to Radius Server), but if it associates to an Adaptive AP5131, the authenticator is the AP, so Radius also talks to all of the APs too. So all the APs' IP addresses must be added as clients to Radius, along with WS's IP address. This is not your case, but might be other's; that's why I explained it. Cheers!
