Has anyone figured out how to disable the word complete function on the ES400? On most other WM 6.x devices there usually is an option somewhere under personal settings / input. I have looked all over the ES400 with no avail in finding a way to turn off this annoying feature. We have two different customers where the word completion pop-up is causing input problems and annoyance when their users go to login into their line of business applications. Thanks.

We are going to post a CAB file to re-enable the Input Panel. The CAB file will be posted next week to Motorola's Hot Fix section on Support Central. This will make it easier for users to re-enable the Input Panel. They will simply have to copy the CAB file to their device, run the CAB file and then reboot the device.
CAB file has been posted to Motorola's Support Central: http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=k… After installing this CAB file, the device will now have the Input applet in the Settings>>Personal screen. Word Completion is one of the tabs on the Input applet.
see http://devcentral.motorola.com/view/23705/view.aspx
why the input panel is disabled, and see here http://devcentral.motorola.com/view/23960/view.aspx The registry key below (also attached) should disable auto complete. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip] "SuggWords"=dword:00000000
The links that are being provided to previous posts appear to be inaccessible to Sprint SE's. When you try and click the links that Herbert provides, the page refreshes and you are kicked back out to the main page. I am investigating this with the site admins and will reply to this post when I get an answer. Hopefully we can get deeper access to some of these valuable archives.
Matt/Scott Yes - the other community areas are for internal Motorolans only. I have copied the relevant information for this question below: Known MS issue in WM6.5 AKU 5.3.x
By default Input panel applet is not displayed in Start->Settings->Personal page due to a
known issue from Microsoft wherein the user will not be able to close the Input panel applet.
As a workaround if enabled, the applet can be closed using the “OK” button on the hard
keyboard.
Remove the below registry entry and reboot, to display the "Input" applet under
Settings\Personal page.
"Redirect"=""
which is present in the following section:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Input]
