I have a customer that claims the MC9590-KC0DAB00100 (Brick, 802.11 a/b/g, LAN, 1D Laser, Integrated GPS, 3 MP Auto focus color Camera, Color VGA display, 256MB/1G , Alpha Numeric Wide, WM 6.5, Audio/Voice/BT, World Wide) cannot use the dot aimer. They say the older Psion Teklogix terminals with the same type Symbol 1D laser in them and they did work. Is there a way to add or set the 1D scan engine to do this?

Can you try setting the Aim Mode reader parameter to DOT. You can use DataWedge to test this.
Customer was usind Data Wedge ans says that does not work.
