All, I have a customer that wants to replace their Nextel PTT phones with the ES400. They don't want to give up the push-to-talk Nextel feature though. Has anyone done a comparison of HipVoice and DecisonPoint's Grapevine? Just looking at the specs, they appear to be the same. Thanks, Ken

sorry, haven't tried DecisionPoint. had a customer use HipVoice, they didn't like the latency. an additional alternative id Clarity's solution, from the presentation material they indicate that they can also integrate with business radios...

Alternative PTT software you can look into is Mobile Tornado and GroupTalk.
G4S is deploying right now MC65 & ES400 with Mobile Tornado PTT but has been using it for while on MC70, MC75 & MC55. They seems to be happy with solution as they are now replacing their old school walkie-talkies with our devices...
What's impressive with Mobile Tornado is that it seems to work on a GPRS/EDGE network (low bandwidth / high latency). Otherwise 3G (HSDPA) or better capacity is recommended for this kind of solutions and I'm not sure how CDMA works with PTT.
