- A maintenance release is now planned for 3rd Q (going now through PAC 2 approval) that will add PC interface to the RS507 in addition to the MPA-based terminals interface. We plan to have the final beta in mid June.
- An early beta version of the PC Interface package was released to few customers.
- The same package can be released to any customer/partner on a CPR. There is no extra cost associated with it but the partner will need to reflash every RS507 purchased with the PC interface firmware in the field. Once flashed, the RS507 will not interface to our MPA-based terminals unless the original firmware is loaded back.
- We decided to hold on to the general release until the RS507 maintenance release when it is combine with the standard firmware and ship from the factory capable to interface with any of our MPA terminals as well as Windows-based PCs.
- The early beta package should work with any SR focus (RS507-IM20000xxxx) or DL focus (RS507-DL20000xxxx) version.
- As an early beta, it is not yet supported and the TAs need to rely mostly on each other and on information already posted on DevCentral.
- The early beta package (SW and instructions) is available from me but for each opportunity, I will need to know the customer name, partner name and the opportunity (qty and timing).
