All, Does anyone have experience connecting the CS3070 to an IPhone? I have a customer trying to do this. The CS3070 connects and works okay, but the keyboard/SIP on the IPhone is disabled. It appears that the IPhone sees the CS3070 as a keyboard (which it emulates), so it doesn't see a need to display the virtual keyboard. I'm wondering if there is some workaround for this. Thanks, Ken

When the CS3070 connects to and iPhone/iPad in BT HID mode the iPhone/iPad disables it's software keyboard, when it disconnects the software keyboard is automatically re-enabled. While connected if the user needs to use the iPhone/iPad software keyboard they can press the "blue" motorola button on the CS3070 to turn off the radio disconnecting the device. When they want to scan again press the "blue" button to turn the radio back on, re-pairing is automatic.
Thanks Tom. So you aren't aware of a setting/workaround on the IPhone to allow for the software keyboard while a BT keyboard is connected? Disconnecting the CS3070 each time the user needs to enter data via the keyboard is not convenient, especially if keyboard input is required after each scan.
There was an SPR raised to address the delay in the sip keyboard when diconnecting BT on the CS3070. SPR#19581. This will not solve your problem but may improve the perfomance Hope that helps Kurt
