All, I have a customer that is concerned about BT interference with their WiFi network and a lot of other BT devices in their environment. They are using the LS3578 and Charging/Communication Cradle in Point-to-Point mode. Using a spectrum analyzer, they have noticed that the LS3578 is transmitting BT signals even though it is docked and idle in the cradle. It appears to be the LS3578 and not the cradle that is transmitting. Is anyone aware of a setting that will essentially turn off the BT radio when the LS3578 is docked and charging in the cradle? We tried the Disable Parameter Broadcast option with no luck. thanks, Ken

Ken, I talked with our Bluetooth engineer and currently, the scanner is working as it is intended to. Meaning that when the scanner is in Point-to-Point mode and paired with the cradle, the Bluetooth radio remains turn on and the connection established. That means that whenever the scanner connection is established (whether in the cradle or out of the cradle), the wireless transmissions continuously transmit. There is no parameter barcode or anything else that can turn this off. - Jaime
