Dear All, Customer is using DS6708 RS232 interface to connect to desktop PC using Hyperterminal. DS6708 is configured as Standard RS232 and default 9600,N,8,1, but it displays error chinese character when it scans PDF417 containing chinese character. Any suggestions Thanks China SE Sun zhenzhong

First of all, the PDF may contain un-printable binary data that cannot be shown correctly on Hyperterminal. Second, the PC may have Chinese Windows version installed. Third, for English version of Windows, check the setting in: Control Panel\Regional and Language Options\Advanced. The first item (the drop-down menu): "Select a language to match the language version of the non-Unicode programs you want to use:" should be set to English. Dayou Wang DCC/ADC
