Can you Clean Boot while only on Battery Power (over 70% for eg)

The MC70 used to have the clean boot ability on battery power (without being on a desk or vehicle charger) by using an accompanying file called "ULDRSETTINGS.CFG" which had the binary flag to AllowUpdateOnBattery, and another line to set the battery threshold. Where did this go on the MC75 and MC75A? The reason we need this is that a customer wants to do a "restore" to a gold image (plus backed up user data from the Application folder once the app is reinstalled) in the field. Psion has a simple three key restore function when things go terribly wrong, and recently this courier customer had an incident where the partner performed an update that lost comms to all devices in the field....

Just put the ULDRSETTINGS.CFG you have from MC70 into MC75/A clean boot package. This will do the trick :) For this and many other tricks (custom boot packages, for example) consider taking the AEL2301 course ("Design & Deploy MCD Solution") from Motorola. Go to learning.motorolasolutions.com for more details.

Sorry - I tried this yesterday and for some reason it didn't work (I was prompted to place the device on power), today it worked - must have been below 70%. Thanks!
