I am posting this on this section because there is no specific one for MC45 yet. Does anyone know if some 3rd party IHV or so has or will have a vehicle cradle for MC45 providing RS-232 connectivity? Or USB? Thanks!

The FTDI UC232R-10 USB to RS232 cable here ( http://www.easysync-ltd.com/category/133/usb-to-rs232-cables.html) will work without an addional driver i.e. just connect it via a suitable USB OTG adaptor cable and the driver will load automatically and assign a comm port to the cable.

Thanks! Anyway, partner decided it was simpler to move to a Psion terminal (which has RS232 vehicle cradle). This is good for us!

Hi JuanAntonio,    The MC45 only has a two pin interface at the base (for charging) so I don't think you will get a vehicle cradle with serial or usb connectivity. Brodit have a vehicle cradle ( http://www.brodit.com/newsDetails.html?id=130419-3) which would work for charging but you would have to either manually connect the micro USB cable or use a WiFi connection for comms. You could try a Bluetooth to serial converter/adapter, else no choice but to cable via the USB port and use a USB to serial converter

Thanks! Do you happen to know if USBtoRS232 adapter from FTDI would work on MC45? In other words, is the internal driver compatible with this adapter, just as MC9500's? What my partner needs is serial connectivity.
