Problem with loading Page

Hi All

I have a Problem with my Enterprise Browser.

I am using it on my Zebra MC92 mobile computers with autostart. (\Program Files\EnterpriseBrowser\EnterpriseBrowser.exe - as a *.run in my Startup folder)

The Problem is that my site is not loaded every time. I thought that the missing network connectivity is the problem but also when I start EB after a few secconds manually the problem is existing...

When the error page appears and I close Enterprise browser and start it new the page is loading fine.

Do you know how to fix this problem?

Best regards

Thomas

Hi Thomas,You can setup the

Hi Thomas,

You can setup the voidconnection parameter in EB's Config.xml to handle these cases.

Take a look at EB's documentation about Config.xml format: Enterprise Browser 1.4

and search for the voidconnect parameter.

Hi PietroI also tried this

Hi Pietro

I also tried this possibility and allways run into a timeout.

Does the EB tries to ping this HostURL or should it be the target URL?

I guess it is a problem of EB because when I open the URL with IE everything works fine :-S

Hi DebrajI get the "badUrl"

Hi Debraj

I get the "badUrl" Page which says: Unable to find page...

Just now while testing it worked one time correctly.

Network status is connected. My first guess was, that the application is loaded to fast when the network connection was not established.

But the problem is also existing when I start the application manually after a few secconds.

Thanks!

Hi Thomas,Even my first guess

Hi Thomas,

Even my first guess was same. i.e., EB is trying to load the webpage when the network connection was not established.

To confirm that its not the case ,Can you please check the following,

1)Reboot the device

2)check whether the network connection is established(wait till its not established).

You can Tap the Signal Strength icon to display the Wireless Launcher menu.

3)Click on "Wireless status"->ipv4 status, check whether you are getting the proper IP address.

4)Incase u are getting the proper IP address, open Enterprise Browser and check whether the webpage is loading.

Thanks

Debraj

One quick thing what we can

One quick thing what we can do here is to keep your startpage locally on the device.

Are you getting issue with local page as well.

HiMeanwhile I tested some

Hi

Meanwhile I tested some other cases. I created a local site which redirected me automatically after 1,2 & 5 Minutes. Sometimes it worked sometimes not.

I also created a batch-file which started EB when network connection is established... Site is not loaded.

We wanted to reach another page in the same network. It is only reachable every seccond cold-boot.

For me it is absolutely not understandable...

Hi,keep the page mypage.html

Hi,

keep the page mypage.html as your startpage in HTML directory. Set start page as file://%INSTALLDIR%\HTML\mypage.html

Now on device boot EB will be launched with mypage.html (there cannot be any possibility of n/w scenario on this case)

Your start page should be the interface to the server where your actual page resides

if you still face the issue with this, you can check the server connectivity using following settings in config.xml

  <VoidConnection>

    <TrackConnection value="0"/>

    <HostURL value="192.168.1.1"/>

    <Message value="Establishing Connection..."/>

    <Timeout value="30000"/>

    <PollInterval value="5000"/>

  </VoidConnection>

enable TrackConnection=1

set Host URL as "http://yourIP:port"

set pollinterval to 1000

if you launch eb with this configuration, EB will popup a connectivty dialog box if HostURL is not reachable. And EB polls connectivity every 1 second. The popup persist till connectivity check passes. If connectivity is not available for 30 seconds (timeout val), the popup will hide and you will get badlink page.

Thanks & Regards,
