Using the LED Control for the CS4070 SDK is problematic.
 
Several issues were faced in implementing this:
 

There is no way to retrieve what LEDs are on.
A command can only be sent to the scanner one at a time.
Attempt to queue commands would result in errors rendering the scanner broken until restarted (battery pull)
I could not find a way to send a beep and an LED command at the same time. Sending them sequentially was unreliable and often one or both of the commands would fail, and often the issue as per 3 above would occur.

 
Can you suggest workarounds for the above? Specifically sending multiple commands to the scanner, such as play a noise AND light an LED at the same time.
