I downloaded and installed EMDK 5.0 for TC8000 development (which lists as a supported device). However, when running a sample app on the device, I get a class not found exception when calling EMDKManager.getEMDKManager on the device while debugging. I tried installing the EMDK OS Update 5.0 on the device, but it shows an error message "Error: The EMDK update is not supported on this device.". How come I can't install the EMDK OS Update, and why do I get the class not found exception when calling the method above?

I see the same issue and on further investigation it seems that on the TC8000 EMDK runtime cannot be updated via the same method as used for the other Zebra Android devices i.e. the runtime version is fixed in each OS build. Unfortunately this means that the TC8000 runtime will not fully support the new EMDK 5.x features until a new OS release is made since the current Rev A release contains runtime v4.0.4.
