Hello everyone ,

I gave the command for a MC3200 device with Android and i want to use Xamarin from Visual Studio 2015 .

I downloaded the BarcodeApi from Code Sample. In emulator i receive error when i want to deploy. (Mono.AndroidTools.InstallFailedException: Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY]1>   at Mono.AndroidTools.Internal.AdbOutputParsing.CheckInstallSuccess(String output, String packageName))

Is it normal, or i need to download other libraries?

Does anyone try to develop programs using visual studio on MC32 ?

Thanks in advice and wait for your answers.

The Mobile Recorder 24 application is written in what language? Xamarin or what?

Hi Radu,
Zebra's EMDK for Xamarin does never supported our Android Jellybean, like the MC32N0 Android.

If you want to use C# and Xamarin to write application for it, the only option is to start from Zebra's EMDK for Android v5.0 (the latest version supporting Jelly Bean devices) and build a Xamarin binding yourself.

We posted some document in the past on this website:

Hi Radu,

The Barcode functionality in the Xamarin component requires some libraries that are only on Zebra devices, hence why you are seeing the error about a missing library.  We don't make these libraries available for the emulator so I'm afraid the Barcode API sample will only run on real devices.
