Hi ,
We are trying to print label using SAP Smartform by using Zebra Device Type YZB200. Here it seems ZPL commands do not work as driver is not ZPL 2.
Is there any command where I can rotate the entire Label by 90 degrees. I have seen PO command but i guess it rotates by 180 degree.
Hi Prajval,
There are no ZPL commands to rotate the entire label 90 degrees. You are right that the ^PO rotates by 180. I'm checking with our Smartforms expert to see if there as something that can be done there.

Thanks Robin for your reply.
Could you also let me know if basic ZPL commands such as FWR work on YZB200.

I have a GX420d and I need to rotate 90 degrees using the FWR command, but I don't know where to enter the command. Please help.

Thanks Robin.
I was able to solve the rotation issue by designing smartform as per YZB200.

Hi Clint, Are you working with straight ZPL, or working with a print driver? What is your situation?

HI Robin,
I think I'm just working with a driver. I selected the Zebra LP2844-Z - 4.0"x6.0"

Hi Clint, You really need to go to Zebra.com and download the ZDesigner driver. The default Windows one that I believe you are using is not really useful. Once you install that, you should be able to go into the printing preferences and change to landscape mode (under Options).
FYI, FWR is only if you are working with ZPL and will not rotate the entire label, just individual fields.

I have that driver and I've seen the landscape/portrait options but nothing changes when I select either of them ... ???

Hi Clint, You tried printing with both options? Check also if your driver has any "Custom Commands" listed, and if the "Use printer settings" on the Advanced setup menu is checked.

Hi Robin,
I have been able to print on Desktop Printer ZT410 using smartform using Device Type YZB200.
But now requirement is to use Mobile Printer QLN420. But when i use the same device type YZB200 for mobile printer all labels whil printing are shifted by half. In short printing starts from middle of the label whereas ZT410 works fine.
Is there any specific technique to handle mobile printers while printing using smartform.

Hi Prajaval, You might need to do a little pre-setup on the printer before using SAP to print. I would recommend using the Printer Setup Utilities | Zebra application to setup the print settings to your label size. I'm not sure which settings the Device Type YZB200 is setting, so I can't tell you much about how to fix it from there. It may be using some of the printer defaults which is why your label is off. If you do the setup with the Printer Setup program, it will set all the settings you need for your specific labels.

The command for rotating the entire label is "FWR" but I don't know how to enter it...

Hi Clint,
Ya I am aware that FWR command can be used but I guess its for LZEB2 device type. Here the subject in the question is different device type. So I had a confusion.
Neverthless I was able to rotate the label using smartform by designing as per YZB200 device type.
In order to use commands you have to define in Print Controls and use it in command node of smartform.
