Hi, i have a Zebra TC56 device and i need to start the barcode scanner using the HARD button for an Android app.I've set TriggerType to hard as the sample suggests but the scanner does not start.
scanner.trigerType = Scanner.TriggerType.HARD;
The same problem occurs and on BarcodeSample1 app, even though i select HARD as trigger type.
What do i have to do to start the scanner with HARD button?Is there a setting i'm missing?
Also, is there a way to disable the default beep sound when scanning or at least change it?

Hi,
If you are running GitHub - Zebra/samples-emdkforandroid-6_4 at BarcodeSample1 without modification then ensure 'continuous' is checked and then press 'start'. Start does not start the laser but rather enables the scanner hardware and as long as the sample trigger type is set to HARD the hardware trigger should be in effect.
