Droidcon Tel Aviv 2019 - Readers Digest

19^th December saw Zebra round off a successful 2019 of developer relations by sponsoring our final event: Droidcon Tel Aviv. Zebra was represented by Darryn Campbell, James Swinton-Bland & Niv Schwager – our SE for Israel who was invaluable with his help in terms of organisation and local expertise!

Hosted annually and running since 2014, Tel Aviv is a well-established member of the Droidcon Community and this was clear to see on the day. Unlike previous Droidcons, the conference only lasted a single day (as opposed to the typically 2-3 days) but still managed to draw in over 600 Attendees, roughly 100 of whom we managed to speak at our booth!

Given this was our first year in Tel Aviv, plenty of questions revolved around who Zebra are, what we do and why we’re at Droidcon and this lead to some very interesting conversations! Unfortunately, there weren’t as many enterprise developers as we're used to seeing in Berlin & London, but nonetheless every attendee we spoke to was keen to learn more about Zebra!

As usual, we also had a sponsored talk – this was once again expertly delivered by our own Darryn Campbell, who discussed the trials and tribulations of doing work in the background on Android to an audience of around 150! You can see the content of Darryn’s presentation here. 

I’d personally like to thank the entire Dev Relations team for a successful 2019, and I’m looking forward to doing it all again, and more, in 2020! Watch this space!
