Is 'Fast Charge' something you have to enable / configure?

In the Carrefour setup, we installed the power setup for FastCharge, so a max of 2+1 cradles on 1 power supply.

Is there anything else I have to do / configure to ensure fast charging is effectively working?

I now see that you need to configure this manually with the Cradle Utility.. .

1. Can we offer an automated way / (command line) tool to do this?
2. Will the fast charge enabled setting persist acros a cradle firmware update, or will it revert back to the default setting of fast charge disabled.. ?
3. Can we integrate setting the fast charge setting into the cradle fw utility if this setting is not persistent?

Cradle's are configured by default from factory to be normal charging. This can be changed using the cradle utility. The fast charge rate once written to an individual cradle slot will be saved in the cradle unless its changed again using the same cradle utility. This setting will persist in the cradle slot across power cycles of cradle and across firmware updates. This is not dependent on the terminal placed on it. Right now we don't have a command line option to do this, as this is a one time action during installation of the cradle.Further there are cradle SW API that we provide with MC18 for ISV application to do this via SW. The cradle utility is just using this SW interface itself.

Note: Each individual slot in a 3-slot cradle is disjoint and needs to be programmed individually.
